Hi guys,
anybodies help will be greatly appreciated.

I applied for my adjustment of status in sep 2005. I am married to a US citizen
I went for fingerprinting, got my EAD and then had my first interview in 24 may of 2006. Me and wife were interviewed together and we were asked some general questions. We were then told that we will get the decision in mail between 4-6 weeks. However a year past by and nothing came. I am assuming this was for the FBI name check. However I went to my second interview today with my wife, we were'nt told to bring any documents, only my passport, photo id and the notice paper. We were questioned separately, I was questioned first.
The immigration officer told me that she has no agenda with me, all she is going to do is ask me some questions and ask the same questions to me wife, and if they match, we'll be good to go. The interview, though long went well. In the end the immigration officer told my wife that both our awnsers were consistent and she is satisfied with the results. She told me that my older fingerprints are expired and I have to take new ones. I have now given my fingerprints again. Now what ? . Did everything go well.when will I get my approval and my green card Please provide me with awnsers

I am guessing you will get an approval notice on the mail? and the GC a few weeks afterwards?

Have you checked the status of your case online?

How can finger prints "expire"? :p

If your fingerprints have expired you will most likely get a biometrics appointment in the mail soon. Hopefully after you go get your fingerprints re-done, you'll get your approval.

PraetorianXI: Biometrics are only valid for 1 year, so if the case lasts longer than that you need to go get fingerprinted again. Its common, despite how bizarre it might sound.

bizarre indeed. Oh well, I can't wait for mine to be taken... even though they were taken at the US embassy in 2004, and everytime I have entered the US in the past 2 years (about 16 times)...

One of the benefits of having a green card is the fact that you don't need to be fingerprinted/photographed when you re-enter the USA any more.

Hmmm, what about when I travel outside of the US while my case in pending using my I-131 (I am traveling twice) will I get photographerd and FP-ed? should I get on the line for residents/citizens or the aliens one?

=p

On AP I believe you should get in the aliens line and you will be fingerprinted/photographed.

I used the "Citizens" line when traveling with my USC wife througout my AOS. Went through two APs and was never told that I am using the wrong line.

Thanks! That is what I thought. No more running at the airport then =) (except to catch the flight).

I was photographed with I went for my FP 3 weeks ago. I inquired and they said that will be the picture on the GC. Only if I knew earlier, I would have tried to cover those dark circles :p
