Hi guys,

I wonder what shots and tests needed to be done for I-693? Are any or these shots or test can be done at local health department before going to the civil surgeon? Thanks a lot

3 vaccines - MMR, Varicella & Tetanus.
All of these should have boosters too (important if you had it long ago).

See the attachment. Its what was filled by civil surgeon for me. I removed personal info but this is my actual form.

They can be done at your local health department (it will be a lot cheaper this way) and you can find the information about what you need to get done here: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dq/civil.htm

Here is some more "specific" information: http://www.allianceoccmed.com/INS_examinations.htm

Best thing is call the USCIS Designed Civil Surgeon where you will have your examination and ask them what do you need to get done, just to double check ;)

ps: The Tetanus shot will sting for 4 days!

Thanks SakshiSrivastav. Can I take these shots at the local health department? Do you know also what other tests needed to be done and how much they cost?

Thanks for all the info PraetorianXI!

Always a pleasure. The cost of the tests and shots differ from place to place... but at your local health department they will be cheaper than anywhere else!

There is a blood test where they check for several things including HIV. There is a skin TB test. Thats about it.
