Now that I am preparing my stuff for the interview,I cannot find the original of my husband B certificate. If he apply for a new one, how long it will take and would a new one be a problem? Interview is next month, the second week.

Do you have an idea as to the procedure? Also, will this replacement be a problem for USCIS? I cant believe the timing!

All you need to do is tell your spouse to go to your health department, then go to the birth and death certificate section, fill out the form for birth certificate, and usually they give computer print out same day, and it cost $12.00, it does not matter to immigration if you have a new or old birth certificate, all they care about is that you have one. Try to relax, ok. Best wishes.

ask his parents. My hubby's mom had his birth certificate and his old passport.

His mother died and trust me his father does not have this document for him. I will get a new one bcus he told me the one we misplaced was not even the original bcus he had lost it already, so I guess it does not make a difference. Very careless.;)
