Hello Everybody

Can someone help me on below items:

1>.What are the items/documents required to get US visitor visa for parents from Mumbai for the interview at US Consulate at Mumbai?
Are people getting Visitor Visas with proof of sufficient documents?

2>.Did your family or someone you know get visitor visa for their near and dear ones?

3>. What is the minimum age for parents to get Visitor Visa without Interview(drop box facility)? Is it >60 or >55?

4>.Also let me know about Medical Insurance rates and plans for families?

Any personal/specific experiences of late, please eloborate.
Any other inputs will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Guys

Can we claim parents/brothers/sisters who come to visit us in US
from India for a 4month period as dependents on our US Tax Returns for that year?

Did anybody file taxes claiming them as dependents and have any issues/problems? I believe it is legal if they stay with you
and do not work(of course, on tourist visa, they cannot) and maybe some 180 days in a year.
Any personal experiences, let me know.
Please clarify

This will help us all.

Thanks

Visitor parents and brothers/sisters cannot be claimed as dependents on your tax return. Parents can be claimed if:
1) they are permanent residents,
2) they stayed with you in US for >180 days,
3) They were dependent on you foe support.
